The GENIUS training pathway has been designed to teach quality, standardised IUS techniques and interpretation. The inclusion of theoretical and practical components enables trainees to develop strong understanding and competency in IUS. Completion of this training program does not imply ‘accreditation’, rather it is a learning program to achieve a standard and recognised level of competency. The 3 parts are designed to be undertaken consecutively.

Part 1 – Online Learning Module

Part 2 – Practical Workshop
Held twice per year across Australia.
Cost: $750

Part 3 – Clinical Experience
Requirements: Completion of 200 supervised scans, 2 case reports, supervisor report, submission of logbook.
Location: Any GENIUS recognised training centre in Australia
Clinical placement is to be self initiated. If you need help identifying potential sites and contacts please contact admin@genius.health for an up to date list.
Cost: $275 for administrative costs, paid at the time of submitting your full member application (submission of logbook, supervisors report and case reports). Please submit your application for full membership here.

If you are overseas trained or have completed part/all of your IUS training overseas through IBUS, we have a ‘grandfathering’ pathway, which is recognised on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at admin@genius.health
